FREE ADOPTIONS IN AUGUST!

Thinking of adopting? NOW IS THE TIME! We are waiving the adoption fee in August to help all qualified adopters find the dog of their dreams!

Dogs are pouring into shelters this summer. People are abandoning their dogs when they leave for vacation - and worse.  So if you’re thinking of adopting, now’s the time. We’re pulling out all the stops to get dogs into forever homes. That means FREE ADOPTIONS to all qualified adopters during the month of August. This is the perfect time to welcome a new member of the family!

We’re aiming for a record-breaking 90 ADOPTIONS this month. We want to turn August from a sad month to a month of love. So no fee. Free love!

GREY MUZZLE AWARDS MUTTVILLE $7500 FOR FOSPICE PROGRAM!

Thank you, Grey Muzzle!

We’re dedicated to improving the lives of all the dogs that come to us — including those who arrive with terminal or untreatable illness. For them, we created our fospice program, which matches these dogs with families who will shower them with love and make their last days the best days. Muttville pays for palliative care and offers counseling and advice to the families who participate. Grey Muzzleis helping us continue this important work with a $7500 grant.

This grant means that dogs like Dannyget another shot at a great life. Danny is a beautiful cocker spaniel who came to us a little worse for wear. A gentle, slow moving old boy, we could tell he was a sweetheart but knew he had some underlying health issues just by looking at him. First we gave him a bath, then a shave, then we checked inside his mouth. Oh dear, what a mess! After a dental to remove rotting teeth, we also found and removed a cancerous tumor in his groin. This boy certainly needed a lot of help!

As our team continued their diagnostic tests they uncovered the worst part - a very large and inoperable mass on his chest. The good news is that Danny is completely unaware of the time bomb ticking in his body and is now enjoying all the rewards of having a fospice home. Thanks Grey Muzzle for your grant that helps us continue our mission, offering deserving dogs like Danny a little extra time to check off everything on their bark-it lists!
