Our matching gift offer is almost over, and animals like Jerry are depending on us.
When we first met Jerry, a 16-month old tabby, he was very sick and suffering from a highly contagious virus that he contracted while living on the streets.
Like all animals at PAWS, Jerry went directly to our Medical Center where we diagnosed and began treating him right away. He needed constant antibiotics and fluids and had to be isolated from other cats for his safety—and for theirs.
After four weeks of treatment, followed by time in foster care to heal, Jerry was ready to start his new life. And shortly after his arrival at our adoption center, he was adopted into a loving home.
Had Jerry been taken to a shelter other than PAWS, he most likely would have died from his disease or from euthanasia.
