2015 Outstanding Sanctuary Pet Hero Award
On October 30th, Whitney Knowlton, Founder and Executive Director of Last Chance Animal Rescue and St. Francis Farm accepted the Outstanding Sanctuary Pet Hero Award. The Pet Hero Awards celebrate individuals, associations, professionals, pets and business organizations that demonstrate a commitment to improving and protecting animals lives. Their belief is by recognizing role models, others will aspire to excellence, as well.
Established in 2013, St. Francis Farm is a companion animal sanctuary situated on 50 acres in Carlisle, SC. This farm is home to approximately 100 dogs and 200 cats on any given day. Annually, this location serves to harbor thousands of animals as they embark on their journey to find forever families.

For the 5th year in a row Last Chance Animal Rescue has been recognized as Best of the Best by Dan's Papers! We are thrilled that once again we have been awarded the distinction of Best Animal Rescue on BOTH the North and South forks of Long Island.

Thank you for Saving Biscuit
As you know Biscuit, was scheduled for euthanasia because he was suffering from mange and severe secondary infections, treatable illnesses. Thanks to your generosity we were able to SAVE BISCUIT and get him the care he needed. After arriving at St Francis Farm, Biscuit received excellent medical treatment, nourishing food and lots of love!
Last week Biscuit was well enough to travel to New York in search of his forever home. We are thrilled to report that he has found his family! Oliver, a recent college graduate was looking for a companion. His parents met Biscuit and knew he was the perfect match, after completing the adoption they suprised Oliver with his new best friend! It was an instant connection!
Without the generous help and support of our donors none of this would have been possible. On behalf of Biscuit and all the animals like him, thank you for believing that underdogs deserve a happily ever after!

FABULOUS FOUR UPDATE
A few weeks ago we asked for your help to provide funds to send the Fabulous Four for training and rehabilitation in an effort to help them become adoptable. This type of program is critical in our ability to fulfill our commitment to every animal we save, especially those who stuggle to fit into a traditional setting. We continue to be amazed by the kindness of our donors who believe in the work that we do. We are happy to report the Fabulous Four are very close to having funding, thanks to your generosity they will soon be on their way to a new life.
